Topaz Arts is thrilled to participate in the Fountain Art Fair during Armory Week 2013! We will be featuring select works from our recent exhibitions including Manila-based artists in “Bastards of Misrepresentation: NY Edition”, former artist assistants of the late Richard Artschwager in “Under The Influence”, plus live performances by Paz! http://www.fountainartfair.com/visitor-info/
The exhibition takes place at the historic 69th Regiment Armory on 25th & Lexington Avenue in NYC, celebrating 100 years since the revolutionary 1913 Armory Show and where Marcel Duchamp’s controversial ready made Fountain was shown for the first time. For this occasion, choreographer/dancer Paz Tanjuaquio revisits “Thunder Against 1.2.3. – Etre”, channeling female Futurist Valentine de Saint-Point’s first NYC performance in 1914. Performances Fri-Sun at 2pm and 8pm during evening receptions.
