Time Delineation, curated by Alejandra Fonseca, is an exhibition that reflects on concepts such as memory, time and space, based on the use of the line as an elementary resource for drawing techniques and video animation. Time Delineation is a selection of works by Colombian artists include, Laura Castellanos, Liliana Caycedo, Andrés Chaparro, Samir Elneser, Alejandro Giraldo, Paul Guerrero, Aníbal Maldonado – explore themes such as childhood, heritage, violence, self-reflection, the achievement (or not) of happiness, the landscapes of memory, and historical images.
Zona Turística, curated by Takaaki KJ, is a selection of works by Colombian artists Ann Kroon, Andrea Ortiz, Takaaki KJ and Ivan Herrera. The group exhibition Zona Turística – features a selection of works by four photographers based in Bogotá, who seek to highlight the city’s yet unnamed legacies by exploring its anonymous streets and neighborhoods. As if religious pilgrims who untiringly walk a long distance to fulfill their religious objectives, these artists’ practices are based on a conviction that photography is a tool not only to document a place’s topography, but also transform and reinvent it.
The Garage Door Projects is sponsored by TOPAZ ARTS, Inc. and is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
